Studio Etiquette & Policies
Arrive Early
Always plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before class to allow time to find parking, check-in and set up in the studio. Classes DO start on time, and the door will be locked. This allows us to help students drop into a intentional space of mindfulness that is valuable in a yoga practice. Late arrivals will not be granted access into the class once the front door has been shut, and are subject to the additional $10 No Show fee.
Check-in For Every Class
Be sure to check-in with the Instructor or Ambassador at the desk, or please use the self check-in kiosk to allow for quicker access into the studio space to get set-up for class. We can get backed up at the desk when classes are full. Let’s work together to ensure no one accidentally is charged a No Show fee!
Your Stuff
Please leave ALL belongings that are non-essential to your practice in the front reception room. This includes yoga bags and straps, extra layers of clothes, glasses etc. Since we lock the main door once class starts…your belongings stay safe too
Mat Placement
Always align the top center edge of your mat to a green [+] tape mark on the floor, so that we can ensure space for all students within two rows. If the class is not full, you may spread out once the teacher has started class. These placement marks ensure every student has room in front of or behind their mat for water bottles and props, as well as room to move forward and backwards without hitting a wall or another student, eek!
Stay for Savasana
We encourage you to soak up every valuable moment of your practice and avoid disturbing other students during savasana. We know life happens and if you do need to sneak out early, please find a spot near the door and inform your instructor before hand so they may assist you with exiting quietly. Please simply roll up your mat and leave all props in your spot, to minimize any disruption to the class.
This is your practice!
Honor and listen to your body in each class. What you need may change from day to day. So please always take what you need, leave what you don’t, and feel confident modifying as needed.
Love and Kindness
Our values at Resilience are centered around the Heart Chakra and coming from a place of love first. This is what makes our yoga community so powerful. Please remember to lead with love, to find patience and respect for all students and Resilience team members.
No harassment/bullying or behavior that makes another student or team member feel unsafe in our studio, will be permitted. If you are in violation of this policy, your access to the studio may be revoked at the discretion of the studio.
Disconnect | No Cell Phones Permitted
Let's enjoy a technology free time, and please leave your phones, with the rest of your belongings, in the front room. We do not permit students to photograph or video record during class. If you are eager to get a picture or video for social media etc., please do so before class has started (and return phone to the front room) and ensure no other students are being captured.
Exceptions will be made for those with on-call professions or if you are responsible for another person who may need immediate services. Inform the instructor and set your ringer to silent.
No Show & Late Arrival Policy
A No Show is a class booking that was not cancelled before class started and the student did not arrive/attend. No Show bookings are NOT refunded/credited back and student account will be charged an additional $10 fee.
Late arrivals are subject to this No Show policy as well. If you know you are running late and won’t make it to class on time, please go ahead and cancel your booking. If you do arrive on time after canceling, we can add you back in if class has not filled up. The Studio, at their discretion, may offer a 1-time exception for first time instances.
Class Cancellations
Occasionally a class may be cancelled by the Studio, so please always check the schedule. If a class you have signed up for is cancelled by us, you will received a credit back to your account and an email notifying you of this cancellation. Classes may be cancelled for any of the following reasons: inclement weather or difficult driving conditions in the winter, if an instructor is ill or has an emergency, or we simply do not have an available substitute teacher. During summer and fall, we often have a minimum booking requirement of 2 students, to hold class. A class that doesn't meet this minimum is then cancelled 1 hour before class start time.
Class Waitlists
If a class fills up, we do offer a waitlist. When a spot opens, the first student on the list will be notified via a text message to confirm that they want to be booked into class. That student will have 10 minutes to accept the open spot via text reply, before the system moves on to the next student on the list. We are unable to manually modify this process if you missed the text message or responded incorrectly. You must be able to receive text messages from the studio to be on the waitlist.
Age Requirements/Children
The minimum age allowed in a class is 14. All children under the age of 18, must have a parent register them them as a child account that is tied to their personal account and sign a liability waiver on their behalf.
We do not allow children under this attendance age to be present in the studio during class, nor may children stay in the reception room unattended by an adult.
