Etiquette
Arrive Early
Always plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before class to allow time to find parking, check-in and set up in the studio. Doors open 15 minutes before class start time. Classes DO start on time (1-2 minutes), and the door will be locked. This allows us to help students drop into a intentional space of mindfulness that is valuable in a yoga practice. Late arrivals will not be granted access into the class once the front door has been shut, and are subject to the No-Show Policy fees or loss of class credit.
Check-in For Every Class
Be sure to check-in with the Instructor or Ambassador at the desk, or please use the self check-in kiosk to allow for quicker access into the studio space to get set-up for class. We can get backed up at the desk when classes are full. Let’s work together to ensure no one accidentally marked as a No-Show!
Your Stuff
Please leave ALL belongings that are non-essential to your practice, in the front reception room. This includes yoga bags and carriers, extra layers of clothes, glasses, socks, keys etc. Since we lock the main door once class starts…your belongings stay safe too.
Disconnect | No Cell Phones Permitted
Help us create a peaceful setting in class and leave your technology with the rest of your belongings, in the front room. If you have Apple Watch or similar, turn off calls and messages please. We do not permit students to photograph or video record during class. If you are eager to get a picture or video for social media etc., please do so before class has started (and return phone to the front room) and ensure no other students are being captured.
Exceptions will be made for those with on-call professions or if you are responsible for another person who may need immediate services. Inform the instructor and set your ringer to silent.
Mat Placement
Always align the top center edge of your mat to a green [+] tape mark on the floor, so that we can ensure space for all students within two rows. If the class is not full, you may spread out once the teacher has started class. These placement marks ensure every student has room in front of or behind their mat for water bottles and props, as well as room to move forward and backwards without hitting a wall or another student, eek!
Stay for Savasana
We encourage you to soak up every valuable moment of your practice, and avoid disturbing other students during savasana. We know life happens and if you do need to sneak out early, please find a spot near the door and inform your instructor before hand so they may assist you with exiting quietly. Please simply roll up your mat and leave all props in your spot, to minimize any disruption to the class.
This is your practice!
Honor and listen to your body in each class. What you need may change from day to day. Trust yourself when it's time to pull back in class, when to take the extra challenge, staying in the process of the practice, or being mindful of an injury or needed rest.
Love and Kindness
Our values at Resilience are centered around the Heart Chakra and coming from a place of love first. This is what makes our yoga community so powerful. Please remember to lead with love, to find patience and respect for all students and Resilience team members.
No harassment/bullying or behavior that makes another student or team member feel unsafe in our studio, will be permitted. If you are in violation of this policy, your access to the studio may be revoked at the discretion of the studio without refund.
